wow! after about a week of tours, i have to say just "wow"!!! it's been such a blast to welcome new and old to the motorati sims and join the tour participants on a few stops along the way... ending at my beach club!!!

here's a little collection from the tour photos, that show how much fun we had, and how wonderfully diverse the participants have been...

i'm having a BLAST, and it's great to meet everyone!!! the banner is up on www.maxim.com and www.motoratilife.com, and new "newbie" center on the pontiac sim is like a little birthing center, seeing newbies pop up is so cool! i forgot what that was like!

well the beach club is finished, and it looks FAB, and we've been working hard over the last month preparing for the tours of motorati island... it's been a LOT of work, tending to every little detail, but now, we're officially up and going!

what are tours???

well, in the new maxim, and maxim website, pontiac invites people to come tour their "motorati" sims, and find out more about second life... the tours are great! the folks who sign up make 4 stops, and end up at my brand new beach club. i have the honor of being the hostess, welcoming them, joining them on a few stops, then ending at the beach club and giving out PRIZES!!!

each tour member not only receives their own CAR, and some great gifts, but each has a chance to win $5000 Lindens AND a custom exlusive "motorati girls" solstice GXP!

one of the stops is the "pontiac garage" which is like the one in Times Square in New York City, and in SL, there are always fun events and live concerts going on, they even have had J-Z on that very stage!!!

it's been fun and these tours go on for another month so if you haven't had a chance to explore "motorati island" this is a great way to start!

i'm not going tell too much more about the stops, but if you have some free time, this is a fun way to spend an hour in SL, and see a few of the many cool spots on motorati island and walk away with a bunch of GREAT free stuff, and have a chance to win 5k and a custom car!!! if i wasn't involved, i'd most certainly take a tour!!!

ok, so i guess it's time to tell that the "motorati girlz" are getting a whole new place... and saying goodbye to the pink building that ally and me made... and now, we're gonna have an AMAZING BEACH CLUB RESORT!!!!

I am so excited cuz now there will be a "posh" place for the girLz to have fun in the sun, swim, dance, shop, lounge, be pampered and more!!

so maddie and i, have been working hard, to develop the look and feel so that it really feels like a resort, a "get away" and yet a fun place to hang with your friends.

when we started i was so scared cuz i just wasn't sure how we'd pull it off, i had a vision in my head, but, just wasn't sure how it would look, if it would work, and after hours and hours of planning, and my terrible terrafoming, (sorry maddie) and stuff, we are getting more and more excited at how it's coming out...

we'll update ya soon, but it should be opening mid may!!!

it's with great pleasure i introduce aphrodite wishbringer as the march 'motorati calendar girl'. i've known her for about a year and she's one of the sweetest people i've met in SL... she's been oh-so-patient with me, waiting for a modeling opportunity, and i'm honored she agreed to be march's motorati calendar model!!!

i'm a bit late getting out the calendar due to blogging bugs, and other technical difficulties, but i think it was worth the wait!!!

•••G8 IS GREAT••• and you saw it FIRST in SL

how cool is this??? the FIRST TIME EVER THAT PONTIAC'S NEW G8 WAS SHOWN WAS IN SECOND LIFE!!!

ok now THAT is cool and there was a little press party to get sneak peaks... the car is VERY cool and it has LOTS of horses powering it, forgot how many, but a LOT...

some cool reporters from the herald, metaverse, AD WEEK, and more showed up to take pics and get some info on the car from winston and the pontiac answer man!

ally, set up a nice food table so everyone could have some snacks and toast the "new car", and how cool, we saw it before the people at the AUTO SHOW!!!

wow!!!

after the "unveiling" we took a group shot, and people got a little crazy and drove cars INSIDE the dealership!!!

and look how many people can fit on the solstice!!! woo hoo!!! i know we could have fit more, but you know...

•••MMMOTORATI MOMMMENTS •••

WOW the motorati sim has been humming for the past few weeks with lots of fun events, contests, and so much more... things are really coming together and the GRAND OPENING event was LOADS OF FUN and NOT a lot of LAG!!! hurray for that...

ally, my partner in crime, (and feb's calendar girl) and i played "game show hostesses" for the "LET'S MAKE A DEALERSHIP" game where av's who came "dressed up funny" (uh it's SL, isn't eveyone a bit 'funny'?) were chosen out of the crowd to win some pretty cool prizes.

some won cars, cash, swiming pools, and even a peacock was awarded to a lucky winner.

it was a fun night and a great way to "open" and celebrate "car culture" on the pontiac sims. i spotted elvis in the crowd, which proves he is not dead, and at the after party, we spotted some other celebrities who aparently are alive and well!!! i got close enough to one rocking left handed guitar player, and well, as you can see, it was a party that NO ONE wanted to miss... i was in awe and even saw a bit of haze as he "glowed" and i think it WAS indeed purple...

scuse me... while i... kiss the sky?

Ally was my "construction" partner from the beginning and who knew under all that grit, grime, dirt and mess was this amazingly gorgeous girl???? I DID!!! hehe, and so did everyone who knows her. She's not only beautiful, she's a wonderful person, and I am more than honored to announce her as a represetative for "motorati girlz" and "caLLie cLine".

test driving is FUN

OMG, the new pontiac solstice GXP ROCKS!!! me and kiana, my sister and partner went car shopping on the motorati sim.
after looking at LOTS of cars... we decided on the new solstice GXP from pontiac... it's FAST, customizable, and a hoot to drive! i got up to 90 MPH before going off roading!!!

hehe... it was so much fun...

and they are so affordable too! only 600L, and its like getting a ton of cars with all the color, wheel changes, etc.

girlz just wanna have fun!!! so ally and i decided, time to quit working on the build and get out and do a little christmas shopping!!!

we had a great time, wore our cute matching pea coats, and my "bliss jeans", and we even took our matching lil poodles! and what fun would christmas shopping be without reindeer antlers and a candy cane??? well, not much fun... so we made sure to have all we needed ;)

and, having our pockets stuffed with linden's made for a fun afternoon!!!

but don't worry, we'll be back to work soon!

and there will be news coming up about the "motorati girlz" events n' stuff... stay tuned folks!

it's SO much fun to have visitors stop by when i'm working, and this day was every so memorable!!! you know what they say about women drivers???? well "It's all TRUE" haha, just jokin' sorta.. well first off i LOVED this car, it was like the coolest car i've seen in SL, and though i kept having to RUN to get away from being hit, i did take a closer look ;)

the driver was having a hard time turning and stuff, but managed to drive IN MY SHOP and back out!!!

i love the expression on her face on the way out!!! i was luckily able to keep my new christmas puppy (ty ally!!!) out of the way, so no one was injured...

so yet, another fun day at the motorati sim...

ya just never know what will happen!!!

building blunder

ok, so we messed up our almost finished building... and thankfullly my good friend barnesworth anubis, builder for the "stars" came over and help, and also tried to explain to me the "shifting prim" problem i was having...

he fixed a few things, and then, i think he was pooped!!! but, now we're back on track, and yay!!!!

thanks barnes, you can be a motorati girlz mascot if you wanna be!!!

wow, day 3 was exciting cuz i met a REAL LIFE NASCAR RACING TEAM PERSON! armani gentil is his SL name and he's planning on bringing his REAL team in world to do races and more cool stuff! and it was great to meet him and chat a bit, and the cool thing is they want to use the "motorati girlz" for their races and stuff! yay! and... i'm gonna make them some clothes and stuff too! armani was a super nice guy, and very excited about what he saw on the motorati sim, so that's cool! he showed me a truck that looks like what he drives in real life! so that's cool. i didn't get a ride, cuz i probably woulda fallen off, cuz i think his truck is a real fast racing truck!

anyway, here's a pic of his truck and me and my little puppy too! i'm having a blast!

weLcome! this is a BRAND NEW blog to cover the PONTIAC "mOtoRaTi giRLz" from it's very beginings, to where we are going!!!

PONTIAC corp. has created on SECOND LIFE, (an online virtual world) a wonderful place called "MOTORATI" which is an entire "land" dedicated to celebrating car culture. this includes car races, car buying, car themed clubs, amusement parks, amazing race tracks, and a venue for concerts and more...

the "mOtoRaTi giRLz" was the brain child of Second Life Designer "caLLie cLine" and will be a venture to engage women in taking part in the exciting car culture. the "mOtoRaTi giRLz" will participate in various ways, from fashion events, charity events, racing, to the "checkered flag gaLs" who will open races, concerts, and more.

this site will follow the "mOtoRaTi giRLz" from the begining... the "build", on through the "fashion", the "fun" and more...
